Abstract:It is an effective technique to use special mutants of plants in study of photoprotective mechanisms. Compared with traditional method， this technique bears strong specificity and lesser side-effect， especially， it can be manipulated on gene level， which has been proved higher reliable. In this review， induction， screening and identification of the mutants of plants in study of photoprotection were summarized.
