Abstract:A new triterpenoid, phellochin, C31H52O4 (HRMS 488.3747), mp. 173–175℃, [α]25D -84.8 (C=0.10, methanol), was isolated from the fruits of Phellodendron chinense Schneid, and its structure was established by spectroscopic methods (IR, MS, NMR and COSY).
