Abstract:The alcoholic extract of the rhizome of Albertisia laurefolia has been shown to possess antitumor activity. Seven alkaloids were isolated from the alkaloidal fraction of this plant. They were identified as aromoline(Ⅰ), daphnoline(Ⅱ), cocsuline (Ⅲ), cocsoline(Ⅴ), apateline(Ⅵ), and N-methylapateline(Ⅶ). The struture determination of alkaloid Ⅳ is hampered at present by lack of material.
