Abstract:The amphibious banyan (Ficus spp.), an evergreen tree mainly in Guangdo ng Province, is conspicuously distinct from a commonly cultivated and widely dis tributed banyan in subtropical China, Ficus microcarpa, in morphology, anatomy a nd flooding tolerance.
