Abstract:Field work was carried out from 1985-1987 at the South suburb of Taiyuan, Shanxi provice.The study site is a drainage channel where the cattaill (Typha latif-olia)and the reed (Phamites communis)are living.The Great Reed Warbler (Acrocep-halus arundinaceus) arrives at this breeding area in middle May and leaves in middle September.The egg-laying period extended between early June and late July, with a peak in middle June.
