Abstract:Yumai 13 with stripe rust resistance as paternal parent was crossed with susceptible cultivar Yanzhan 1 as the maternal parent to build the segregating population, and SSR technique was used to map the stripe rust resistance genes from common wheat cultivar Yumai 13. The ratio of resistant to susceptible individuals was 2.43∶ 1 in accordance with expected values 3∶ 1 while inoculated with CY31 in F5 individuals. The result indicated that the resistance in the Yumai 13 to race CY31 was controlled by two genes. In all, 290 pairs of wheat SSR primers were used to test the two parents, as well as resistant and susceptible bulks. Subsequently, six polymorphic markers located on chromosome 2B and two markers on chromosome 3B were discovered to link with the resistance genes in Yumai 13. On the basis of the results, it is reasonable to assume that the stripe rust resistance genes in Yumai 13 were located on chromosome 2B and 3B respectively. The relationships between the stripe rust resistance genes in Yumai 13 and known resistance genes on chromosome 2B or 3B were also analyzed. According to the analyses, the stripe rust resistance genes in Yumai 13 were unknown genes.
