Abstract:The guava fruit fly, Bactrocera (Bactrocera) correcta (Bezzi), which has already been invaded into Yunnan and Taiwan provinces of China, is one of the most economic significant pests of fruits. The goal of this study was to predicate the potential geographical distribution of guava fruit fly in China by location model of CLIMEX and BIOCLIM model of DIVA-GIS according to the bio-ecological characteristics and current geographical distribution. Additionally, these two models and their respective predicting results were compared and analyzed. The results presented that the location model of CLIMEX was better than the BIOCLIM model of DIVA-GIS in the predication of potential geographical distribution of guava fruit fly. The high and medium suitable regions of this insect pest in China included Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Taiwan, Fujian, Guizhou and Sichuan.
