Abstract:The antifungal bacterium BL-21 was identified to ascertainment its classification position, while the antagonistic spectrum and stability of its fermentation liquid was studied to separate its active product. Result showed that BL-21 was a strain of Bacillus laterosporus, its fermentation liquid had antagonistic activity to all of the candidate plant pathogenic fungi. The active product was sensitive to protease and heat, the activity lost when heated at 100℃ for 10min and enzymolysised with protease at 37℃ for 120min. Four antibacterial materials were separated from the fermentation liquid. All of them had antagonistic activity to the gram positive bacteria, among them components A and B had antagonistic activity to plant pathogenic fungi.
