Abstract:Non-selective feeding test were conducted to monitor the resistance of Rattus rattoides in several districts of Guangdong Province to study the resistance status of rodents and provide academic support for using rodenticides scientifically. The results were shown as follows: in high-frequency usage districts, Rattus rattoides had developed population-resistance to the first-generation anticoagulants, with resistant rates of 36.67% and 16.67% in Xinhui of Jiangmen and Gaoming of Foshan, respectively. In middle-frequency usage districts, Rattus rattoides had generated individual resistance but didnt form resistant population, for example, the resistant rate in Zhanjiang was 3.33%. In low-frequency usage districts, no resistance was found but the resistant tolerance to rodenticides had increased. Therefore, some sustainable managements were put forward according to the resistance status of different districts.
