Abstract:Twenty-one compounds were isolated from the bark of Sycopsis tutckerii Hemsl which has been used for the treatment of trauma and certain] cancer. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectral evidences as stigmastan-6α-hydroxy-3β-laurate (Ⅰa), stigmastan-6α-hydroxy-3β-myristate(Ⅰb), stigmastan-6α-hydroxy-3β-palmitate (Ⅰc) and two other esters (Ⅰd, Ⅰe, their struetures of acid moieties would be further studied), methyl ester of betulic acid acetate (Ⅱa), betulic acid acetate (Ⅱb), methyl betulate (Ⅱc), betulic acid (Ⅱd), oleanolic acid acetate (Ⅲa), oleanolic acid (Ⅲb), β-sitosterol (Ⅳa), β-sitosterol-β-D-glucoside (Ⅳb), 3-o-methyl-ellagic acid-4′-a-L-rhamnoside (Ⅴa), 3-o-methyl-ellagic acid (Ⅴb), 3,4-di-o-methyl-ellagic acid (Ⅴc), ellagic acid (Ⅴd), (+)-gallocatechin (Ⅵ), gallic acid (Ⅶa), protocatechuic acid (Ⅶb) and pyrogallol (Ⅶc). Ⅰa~Ⅰd was a group of new compounds and stigmastan-3β, 6α-diol was firstly found from nature.
