Abstract:This paper reports the first discovery of Androstrobus Schimper from Late Triassic,
Baoding coal field in Panzhihua,Schichuan,China. In the same horizon specimens of Nilssonia
are well-preserved. In this paper,Androstrobus Schimper fossil plant belongs to a repreductive organ of the cycads, and the male cone fossil is described as Androstobus pagodiformis Hsu et Y. F. Hu. However, Androstrobus had never been discoveried in China before.
The leaf fossil from the same horizon specimen is described as Nilssonia sterophylla Hsu
et Y. F. Hu.
They all belong to Cycadopsida. Their discoveries in China are of an important signifi-
