Abstract:A new steroidal saponin, pingpeisaponin, was isolated from stem and leaf of Fritillaria ussuriensis Maxim by column chromatographic technique. On the basis of the IR, MS, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra of pingpei saponin, the structure has been established as 24α-hydroxyl diosgenin-3-O-α-L-rhomno-pyranosyl-(l-2)-β-D-glucopyranoside.
