Abstract:The relationship between agronomic and P efficiency traits in winter wheat was investigated within two-year field experiments. The results showed that the genotypes, which have higher height or heading stage more delayed by P deficiency, are most likely P-efficient. The genotypes whose yield mostly depended on one of factors may be more sensitive to P deficiency. The results also indicated that biomass, leaf area at flowering and kernels per head at serious P deficient conditions(Olsen P = 2.4 mg/kg)or number of head at slight P deficient conditions(Olsen P = 6.6 mg/kg) may be taken as the secondary selection criterion in breeding for P efficient cultivars.
