acterizedbylongtubular,fusiformorshorttubularlongcelswithstraightorsinuouswal;presenceor
absenceofshortcelsinintercostalzone;frequentstomataandparalelsidedordomeshapedsubsidiary
celsdistributedinintercostalzone;presenceorabsenceofpricklecelsincostalzone,absenceofprickle
celsinintercostalzone;eliptic,reniform,crescentic,subsquare,horizontalyelongatedsinuousornodu
larsilicacelsdistributedsolitaryorinpairsincostalzone;presenceofcrowncelsinsomespecies.(2)
Variationsofleafepidermalfeaturesexistedatthespecieslevel,suchasshapeandwalthicknessoflong
cels,presenceorabsenceofshortcelsanditsshape,distributionofstomataandshapeofsubsidiary
cels,distributionofpricklecels,andshapeofsilicacelsdistributedincostalzone.Themicromorpholog
icalstudyrevealedthatthecharactersofleafabaxialepidermiscouldprovideevidencesforclassificationof
thegenus犘狅犪.Moreover,theevidencesofleafabaxialepidermisconfirmedtheviewthat犘.狆狉犪狋犲狀狊犻狊
