Abstract:East China and Japan are very important parts in subregion Sino-Japanese. There are more similarities between them. Both of them contain the same families endemic to East Asia, such as Cercidiphyllaceae, Cephalotaxaceae, Eupteleaceae, Stachyuraceae etc. Both of them also share many genera of Sino Japanese distribution pattern, such as Cryptomeria, Disanthus,Berchemiella etc. Both of them contain about 830 species of Sino-Japanese distribution pattern, such as Peltoboykinia tellimoides, Kirengeshoma polmata, Platycrater ayguta, Chikusichloa aquatica, Neolitsea sericea, Theligonum japonicum etc. The vicarious species and paleobotany data also indicate the closer floristic relatonship between East China and Japan.
