Abstract:A new dopamine derivative named lyciumide A was isolated from the fruits of Lycium barbarum which is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine.Its structure was elucidated as 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)]ethyl 2Z-propenamide by spectral methods.Scopolin was also obtained.
