Abstract:Fossil plants of 20 genera containing 44 species and sporopollen assemblage of 22 genera were discovered from the lower coal-bearing member of Changan Formation in Liaoyuan coalfield. This assemblage belongs to the Early Cretaceous flora whose key elements are Ruffordia and Onychiopsis, and indicates that the climate of Liaoyuan Basin was subtropics in the age of Early Cretaceous.
