Abstract:As China′s Capital, Beijing′s ecological environment gains tremendous attention. In recent years, Beijing makes great efforts on northwest mine management and ecological restoration, so as to improve the ecological environment of the capital. As the ecological conservation zones, it is necessary to investigate and survey the forest resources of the north-west mountain area in Beijing, This research takes Beijing northeast the mountainous area as the main research area, using “Beijing-1” Micro-satellite Remote Sensing Image as data source, taking ground survey data of forest resources and the aerial image for reference, and using the method of man-machine interactive interpretation. Comparing with the result of ground survey data of Year 2006, the paper analyzes accuracy and conducts integrated evaluation, evaluates the “Beijing-1” Micro-satellite image application′s ability in surveying the forest resources. The report further provides help in forest resources evaluation, planning and benefit of importance environment construction project. “Beijing-1” Micro-satellite as a good method shows its advantage from the survey result.
