Abstract:Mixotrophic plankton, which include the forms in Pyrrophyta, Xanthophyta, Euglenophyta, Cryptophyta, Chrysophyta, Chlorophyta and the Ciliophora of Protozoa, can be divided into three physiological types according to their nutrient strategy.
