Abstract:The writers have conducted a series of field investigations in the areas with high soil arsenic background values in southern China‘s Hunan Province to search for arsenic accumulating-plants since 1999. It has been discovered that Cretan brake (Pteris cretica L.), from the same genus of a recently discovered As-hyperaccumulator Pteris vittata L., is also an arsenic-accumulating plant.
