Abstract:The resistance to bacterial leaf streak of 134 rice varieties from Jiangsu Province were screened by using three strains of Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzicola (Xooc) with different pathotypes, and were inoculated by needle puncture in rice boot stage. The results showed that the resistance to bacterial leaf streak of Japonica rice was stronger than Indica rice, but was not obviously different with routine rice and hybrid rice. The virulence differentiation of 82 isolates of Xooc collected from Xuhuai area of Jiangsu Province were identified by using six differential varieties. It was classified into 8 pathotypes, majority of isolates were found weak interaction between bacterium and rice varieties, but minority isolated were specific interaction significantly. The isolates of pathotypeⅠpossessed strong virulence, and the six differential varieties were sensitive, and accounted for 40.2% proportion of isolates identified.
