Abstract:Potassium(K) influx rates of 4 O. indica genotyes were regulated by cell potassium status, IAA, REM and NaVO3 at 3-Leaf stage. The K influx rate was markedly promoted by both IAA and REM (metal mixture including rare earth). However it was significantly decreased when treated preliminarly with 1 mmol L-1 K+ for 15min. Similarly, NaVO3 inhibited the K influx rate significantly or extremely significantly as well. The effects of REM and NaVO3 were counteractive. REM also increaesd biomass and K utilization efficiency. It indicated that K influx of rice could be regulated in two directions.
