Abstract:Red-leaf Hydrangea strigosa is an infrequence co lor-leaf flowery frutex. The introduction and propagation experim ents of cutt ings, seedlings and seeds ofw ildHydrangea strigosa were carried out in L inan based on intensive observationof biolog ica l characters o fHydrangea strigosa for 2 years. The results indicated that the introduction and propagation w eresuccessful in the first stage. For cultivation of cuttings, the best tmi e was June, the best substrate was deep soi,l and thebest cutt ingsw ere b iennial or triennial branches, the rooting rate w as 52??7%. T he best tmi e for transplant w ild seedlingsw as in Apri.l Burgeon rate was 45. 3%, while seedling rate w as low, on ly 11. 2%.
