abioticstressresponse.ThePut,SpdandSpmcontentsofhighfaldormancycultivar‘Sardi10’,lowfal
dormancycultivar‘Algonguin’and‘Deqin’,whichadjustthedryhotvaleyclimate,weredeterminedfor
therelationshipbetweenpolyaminesandheattoleranceundera35℃/30℃heatstressfor105days.The
resultsshowedthatthePutandSpmcontentsofaltestedcultivarsincreasedfirstandthendecreased,and
thatoflowfaldormancycultivarwashigherthanothersattheendofstress,whereasthatofhighfaldor
mancycultivarstarteddecline21daysearlierthanlowfaldormancycultivar.TheSpdcontentofhighfal
dormancycultivarincreased,whereasthatoflowfaldormancycultivardecreasedcontinualy,andthecu
mulativegrowthrateswere16.81%and-26.21%,respectively.However,theresponsesofSpdcontent
in‘Deqin’cultivarcategorizedaslowfaldormancyweresimilarto‘Sardi10’cultivarcategorizedashigh
faldormancy.Itshowedthattheheatresistanceof‘Deqin’mightbecorrelatedwiththehighSpdcontent
andlowPutandSpmcontent,anditwasalsoprobablyoneofthereasonsforbeingsurvivalinthedryhot
valey.
