中国云南兰科一新种——二叶兰

摘 要: 基于采自中国云南东南部的栽培植物,对兰科新种二叶兰( Cymbidium rhiz omatosum)作了描述与绘图。此
新种与兔耳兰(Cymbid ium lancif olium)有亲缘关系, 区别点在于本新种具 2 枚基生叶, 叶在花凋谢后出现, 有 1 条
黄白色的地下根状茎, 长 7～10 cm, 直径 6～15 mm。

Abstract: A new species of Orchidaceae, Cymbidium rhiz omatosum Z. J. L iu et S. C. Chen, is de-
scribed and illust rated based on a cult ivated plant collected f rom southeastern Yunnan, China. T he
new species is related to Cymbidium lancif olium Hook., f rom which it differ s by hav ing two basal
leaves appearing af ter flow ers w ithering , and a yellow ish-whit ish rhizome 7～10 cm long and 6～
15 mm thick under ground.

On a botanical t rip to Malipo County , south-
eastern Yunnan early in this year , some cymbidi-
ums w ere found cult ivated in a courtyard ther e.
The ow ner told us that the plants w ere collected
fr om a border mountain. Altog ether eight plants
w er e brought back and cult ivated in our nur sery.
Tw o of them flow er ed in last August. The f low ers
are similar to those o f Cymbidium lancif ol ium
Hook., but the habit is quite dist inct , w ith tw o
basal leaves arising f rom a yellow ish-whit ish rhi-
zome underground up to 7～9 cm long and 6～
15 mm thick. Based on these remarkable features
w e treat it here as a new species.

Diagnosis: Species nova Cymbidio lancif olio
Hook. subsim ilis , a quo dif fert rhizomate subterra-
neo crasso-cylidr ico albido-f lavido 7～10 cm longo
6～15 mm in diam ., folia basalia ellipt ica post an-
thesin edent i.
Description: Plants terrest rial. Pseudobulb in-

conspicuous. Roots several, up to 9 cm long, 8 mm
in diam . Rhizome underg round, thick-cy lindric,
w hit ish-yellowish, 7～10 cm long, 6～ 15 mm in
diam ., nodded, branched, covered with small w art-
like outgrow ths. Leaves 2, basal, appearing af ter
anthesis, narrow-ellipt ic, thinly coriaceous, 6～8 cm
long , 1. 8～2. 5 cm w ide, apex acute, base art icula-
ted, sho rt ly pet io led; petiole tubular, amplexicaul.
ca. 2 cm long . Scape erect , slender , 15～20 cm long,
gr een, w ith several sheaths below middle; sheaths
1～2. 5 cm long ; inf lorescence racemose, w ith ( 1～)
2～3 flow ers; f loral bracts narrow-ovate, 9～15 mm
long , 5～7 mm w ide, greenish; pedicel and ovary
1. 8～2. 5 cm long ; f low er s g reenish to w hit ish,
w ith a pur plish-red long itudinal line at the base of
petals and purplish-r ed markings on lip and co-
lumn; dorsal sepal narrowly obovate-ell ipt ic, ca.
2. 7 cm long , 5 mm wide, apex acute-acuminate;
lateral sepals linear-obovate, ca. 2. 5 cm long , 4 mm
w ide, apex acute; lip ovate in out line, ca . 1. 4 cm
long , 1. 1 cm w ide, indistinct ly t rilobed; side-lobes
erect ; mid-lobe recur ved, o vate, apex acute; lamel-
lae 2, subparallel, ex tending fr om disc to the base
o f mid-lobe, connivent w ith each o ther at apex ;
column 1. 1～1. 3 cm long ; po llinia 4, in tw o pairs.
Capsule erect , ca. 3. 5 cm long, 1 cm in diam.,
3-ridged.
Phenology: Flowering f rom August to Septem-
ber in nur sery.
Distribution: Southeastern Yunnan, from
Guangnan County to Malipo County .
