Abstract:The Eulaliopsis binata (Rotz.) C. E. Hubb is the perennial herb in the Eulaliopsis Honda of the Gramineae. Almost 250 days are needed for its long growth period. Its tillering ability is strong and may reach 100 tillers in a year. The reporductive period is shord but its vegetative period is long. Its caryopsis ripens in the first ten-days of June and then starts vigours tillering stage. The tillering vigour is controlled by the grass age, seed sowed time, sun light, water content, soil fertility and the direction of slope, etc. The tillering dynamics of Bulaliopsis binata may be divided into the initial stage, high speed stage, top stage and slow speed stage.
