摘 要 ：天麻（Gastrodia elata Blume）又名赤箭，属兰科（Orchidaceae）植物，产于云南、四州、陕西及贵州等。药用干燥块茎，系我国贵重的中药。两千多年前《神农本草经》早已记载了天麻的功效，明朝李时珍《本草纲目》记载；天麻“久服益气，轻身长年”，治疗“语多恍惚，善惊失忘”。亦有文献记载天麻能“熄风定惊”。中国科学院昆明植物研究所植物化学研究室从天麻中分离到天麻素（Gastrodin），含量约0．025％，化学名为对羟甲基苯-β-D-葡萄毗哺糖甙（P-hydroxymethyl Phenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside），白色针状结晶，熔点154℃—156℃，即天麻甙，用苦杏仁酶酵解天麻素，得到对羟基苯甲醇和一分子葡萄糖。该所合成了天麻素（即天麻甙）及天麻甙元（即对羟基苯甲醇）。

Abstract:Gastrodin is a phenol g1ucoside,It was obtained from Gastrodia elata Blume .(Orchidaceae) and synthdized by Chow Jun etc.The authors report on the sedative and anticonvulsant effects oof synthetic gastrodin and its genin as follows.From the above findings, synthetic gastrodin and its genin might be a safe sedative drug used for treatment of neurasthenia mental hyperexicitation,anxiety and inxomnia etc.
