摘 要 ：杜鹃属（Rhododendron L.）是一北温带分布的大属。这一属的分布区是广阔的，但种的分布区则通常是狭域的。约90％的种集中于亚州，而主要的分布中心在我国西南山区及相邻的缅甸北部和东喜马拉雅地区，大致是北纬24度-30度、东经86度-105度的范围内。

Abstract:The genus Rhododendron plays an important role in the Xizang floristic and vegetational formation. There are over 170 species (not including subspecies , and varieties). It stands first on the list of the largest genera of the Tibetan Angiosperms. The abundance of its species is next to that of Yunnan only. The species of Rhododendron in Xizang belong to 2 subgenera: 1. Subgen. Hymenanthes may be classified into 22 subsections 17 of which are found in Xizang. 2. Subgen, Rhododendron, out of a total of 34 subsections 22 are found in Xizang.
