Abstract:Whether Rorippa indica (L.) Hiern and, R. dubia (Pers.) Hara are distinet species, or the latter should be designated as an infraspecific taxon of the former (R. indica var. apetala (DC.) Hochreutiner), of they are simply conspecific, remains a controversial issue. The two species are conventionally discriminated from each other by a number of characteristies, but the most important diagnostic characters are as folloxvs: Petal present; pods with biscriate seeds.....R. indica Petals absent; pods witll uniseriate seeds.....R. dubia.
