Abstract:Computer-aided multivariate quantitative correlation analysis was applied to the glucoside and benzoic acid contents of peony root in different collecting seasons. 4 independent and 11 dependent variables were taken to calculate the correlation coefficient and multi-correlatoin coefficient. The comparison of correlation coefficients shows that the contents are conditioned primarily by the ontogenetic stages in the plant itself and secondarily by external factors such as air temperature and rainfall, etc.
