Abstract:The study of aflatoxin biosynthesis regulatory mechanism has become a model system in investigating eukaryotic secondary metabolism. Rapid development of fungal genomics and other omics empowers us for genome mining, and the acquisition of gene expression profiling that could provide basis for research of aflatoxin biosynthesis regulatory network and other secondary metabolisms in fungi. The expression of fungal secondary metabolism genes is regulated by different types of transcription factors, including specific pathway transcription factors, global transcription factors, and various transcription factors in response to different environment impact. Researches on these transcription factors could help us to gain more comprehensive insights into aflatoxin biosynthesis regulatory network.
