摘 要 中间锦鸡儿(Caragana korshinskii var.intermedia), 与柠条锦鸡儿(C.korshinskii)和小叶锦鸡儿
(C.microphylla)是近缘种。但以前有不同的分类学名称和处理 ,本文把它作为柠条锦鸡儿的一个变种(C.
korshinskii Kom.var.intermedia(Kuang et H.C.Fu)M.L.Zhang &G.H.Zhu)来处理。

Abstract Caragana korshinskii var.intermedia , has taxonomical relation to C.korshinskii and C.microphyl-
la.But a long time there are many confusedly and not available names to them.C.korshinskii Kom.var.inter-
media (Kuang et H.C.Fu)M.L.Zhang &G.H.Zhu is proposed in this paper.

  Caragana intermedia Kuang &H.C.Fu , C.korshin-
skii Kom.and C.microphylla Lam.are three closely related
species in C.ser.Microphyllae (Kom.)Pojark.Sometimes
there are different treatments[1~ 8] .These three species have
connected but distinct distribution ranges and only overlap-
ping in a small region in Inner Mongolia , China.C.kor-
shinskii is distributed in W Inner Mongolia , Ningxia , W
Gansu , and SWMongolia , C.microphylla is found in NE
China , E Mongolia , and Russia(Siberia), while C.inter-
media is limited to the Loess Plateau , an area in between of
the two previous species.Due to its morphological similarities
to both C.korshinskii and C.microphylla , the identity of
C.intermedia is unclear.
Although Caragana intermedia has been recognized by
some taxonomists[ 2 ,9] , recent hybridation and molecular stud-
ies support that it is a hybrid between C.korshinskii and C.
microphylla
[4 ,6~ 8] , and it has been treated as a subspecies or
variety of C.microphylla [ 4,10].However , based on successful
hybridization and high F1 fertile rate between C.korshinskii
and C.intermedia , Xu et al[ 3] .suggested that C.interme-
dia should be treated as an infraspecifric taxon of C.kor-
shinskii instead of C.microphylla.Wei et al[ 8] .based on
RAPDmolecular study support this proposal.Our herbarium
and field studies support these three species are closely relat-
ed morphologically , and C.intermedia is closer to C.kor-
shinskii instead of C.microphylla.Therefore we propose the
new combination Caragana korshinskii Kom var.intermedia
(Kuang et H.C.Fu)M.L.Zhang &G.Zhu.
