Abstract:The research work on the interactions of phosphorus with zinc and cadmium over the past several decades was reviewed. It discussed the characteristics of uptake, translocation and accumulation of phosphorus, zinc and cadmium during the P-Zn or P-Cd interactions. Discussion was also included of the physiological, cellular and molecular basis of both P-Zn and P-Cd interactions. Various factors affecting the interactions and some suggestions on the development in the research on physiology, biochemistry and genetics were introduced in this paper.
