Abstract:Rice blast is one of the destructive diseases in rice. A doubled haploid (DH) population derived from a cross between Mowanggu, a famous resistant cultivar to rice blast from Yun’nan Province, and E’wan8, a susceptible cultivar from Hubei Province. 5 isolates were screened among 22 isolates, which could test insusceptible/susceptible reaction in Mowanggu/E’wan8, respectively. The resistance to rice blast of the DH population was monitored with the 5 isolates. Quantitative trait locus (QTL) was detected using a genetic map including 120 SSR. 3 QTLs were identified and linked to SSR marker RM541 in rice chromosome 6 with variance explained between 7.7%-15.2%. The 3 resistance QTLs were donated by Mowanggu.
