Abstract:The pollen grains of 13 species representing 9 genera of Flacourtiaceae were examined by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. These related genera have fairly similar in pollen shape (prolatespheroidal) and tricolporate, though Hydnocarpus with indistinctly tricolporate. The pollen exine sculptures can be divided into 4 types:foveolate, finely reticulate, coarsely reticulate and perforate.Pollen morphology plays a certain role in the circumscription of among related families and different genera.
