Abstract:The fruit of Hodgsonia macrocarpa Cogn. is formed by the development of the ovule of its inferior ovary, in addition of the differentiated cells of the outer part of its floral tube. It constitutes of the epicarp, mesocarp and slimy endocarp with six compositc-seeds. Its ovary normally consists of 12 anatro-pous ovules on the parietal placentas.
