Abstract:Cangshan is situated at the juncture of Hengduan Mountains and Yunnan Plateau, between 25°30′-26°N and 99°50′--100°10′ E. It stretches along S-SE to N-WN. The mountain is 10 km. from the cast to the west and 50 km. from the south to the north. The highest peak is 4122 m above sea level and the relative altitude is 1000-2500 m. Cangshan is one of the younger mountains formed during the upheaval at the Quaternary Period.
