Abstract:cDNA microarray is the most powerful tool in the research field of functional genomics. Capable of monitoring gene expression on a genome_wide scale, microarray enables us to investigate the biological processes in the entirety, and gives insight that would never be available when the research was carried on by ‘one_by_one’ approach. Here we briefly review the progresses on the application of microarray with the emphasis on its fundamental strategies and underlying considerations.
