摘 要 ：在红壤坡地柑桔园沿等高线篱状栽培香根草的植株生长发育良好，可年产鲜草１５ｔ·ｈｍ￣（－２）左右，用其覆盖柑桔树盘土壤，能在高温伏旱期有效地降低柑桔园的气温和土温，提高空气相对温度和土壤含水率；香根草篱还能遮挡部分过强的太阳辐射，有良好的水土保持作用和改土培肥效果，使柑桔园土壤容重下降，孔隙率增大，ｐＨ值上升，有机质、全Ｎ、水解Ｎ、速效Ｐ、速效Ｋ、Ｃａ、Ｍｇ、Ｆｅ、Ｍｎ、Ｚｎ、Ｃｕ、Ｂ、Ｍｏ和２０种氨基酸的含量都有提高。柑桔树得以健壮地生长发育。本研究为我国南方广大红黄壤区域治理与综合开发，实现柑桔高产优质和高效低耗栽培积累了新的资料。
