Abstract:A field experiment was conducted to investigate effect of uneven planting on yield of foxtail millet with the varieties of Nongda8and Nongda10 under split plot design, and the variety as the main area, the uneven planting was the sub region, the paper studies the millet indexes of main agronomic traits, photosynthetic parameters and so on under the uneven planting. The result showed that plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, chlorophyll content, net photosynthesis, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance rate were increased in the wide and narrow row treatment(40cm+20cm) than the line spacing planting(30cm+30cm) and wide row planting(60cm+15cm+15cm). Oppositely, internal CO2concentration was decreased, and yield increased significantly. There were no significant effect between line spacing planting and wide planting treatment. Comparisoned with line spacing planting, wide planting were increased in ear weight and 1 000-grain weight significantly. The results provide technical guidance for the high yield cultivation of millet.
