Abstract:The growth in the seedling stage of nine tree species on four different purplish soils was evaluated by the method of pot experiment. The variance analysis of the data obtained indicates that the two Cunninghamina lanceolata and Pinus elliottii are growing at their best on an acid purplish soil formed on a Jiaguanzhu parent material.
