THE ENHANCED EFFECT OF CO2CULTURE ON NITROGEN2FIXING
ACTIVITY OF B . sphaerium AND B . megaterium

ABSTRACT :The enhanced effect of B . sphaerium Bs7 co2cultured with B . megaterium Bm101
on nitrogen2f ixing activity was observed. The cell2free supernatant from pure cuture of Bm101 ,
which was diluted 400 times ,could enhance the nitrogen2f ixing activity of Bs7 . The expressional
activities of nif A2lacZ transcriptional gene in Bs7 was increased obviously during co2culture of
Bs7 and Bm101 . The enhanced effect on nitrogen2f ixing activity is not only associated with
metabol ism ,but also with some bioactive materials or some regulatory genes , which may play im2
portant roles in enhancing nitrogen2f ixing activity of co2culture. Co2inoculation of Bs7 and
Bm101 could stimulate colonization of both bacteria to rice roots.

中国原子能农学会第四届全国核农学青年科技工作者暨第十一届中南地区核农学学术交
流会于 2000 年 10 月 21~25 日在湖南省召开。来自全国的 53 位代表参加了会议。并提交论
文。
中国原子能农学会常务副理事长张保明致开幕词。20 名代表 (其中 16 人为青年科技工
作者)在大会上做了学术报告。会议不仅交流了近几年来核农学领域的科研、管理、开发等方
面所作的工作和取得的成绩 ,而且提出了设想 ,学术气氛活跃。
通过交流 ,代表们一致认为 ,要发扬传统 ,学习老一辈核农学专家的实干精神 ,求实创新、
珍惜时光 ,为 21 世纪的核农学发展做出贡献。经会议讨论初步决定 ,第五届全国核农学青年
科技工作者学术交流会由江西省原子能农学会承办。中南第十二届核农学学术交流会由湖北
省原子能利用研究所承办。
