Abstract:Using 3 Brassica chinensis cultivars as donor materials, the effects of NaCl stress on seed-germination and stem apexes growth of the materials and the effects of Pingyangmycin (PYM) concentrations and treating time on seed-germination and survival rate of stem apexes were investigated under tissue culture condition. The results showed that the seed germination and stem apexes growth of the materials was decreased with the increase of NaCl concentration and PYM concentration and treating time. The inhibition of the PYM treatment for surival of stem apexes was higher than that of seed germination. The survival plantests with enhanced NaCl-tolerance were obtained by the PYM treatment and NaCl-stress selection. The enhanced NaCl-tolerance of the plantlets could be maintained by propagation.
