Abstract:Exploring the effect of the biological quality and nutrition of 3 types of rice to the damage of Asiatic rice striped borer, Chilo suppressalis (Walker) (CS), we elected one variety from each two-line hybrid rice, three-line hybrid rice and conventional rice in the early rice and late rice. Through the determining of bio-quality indexes and bio-nutrition indexes, we analyzed the effect of 3 types of rice varieties to the damage and number of CS. The results showed the damage strain rate (DSR) of CS were positively correlated with rice plant height, external diameter. The varieties of high silica content in early rice and low silica content in late rice, high reducing sugar content, and high tyrosine content, the DSR of CS were high. In early rice, the DSR of CS of Xzx No.24, Jy974 and Lly996 is 0.33%, 0.39% and 0.72%, it increases with the increasing of plant height and silica content. In late rice, the DSR of CS of Xwx No.12, Jy217 and Ly527 is 0.42%, 0.86% and 1.25%, it increases with the increasing of external diameter and reducing sugar content and tyrosine content, with the reducing of silica content. So through the tests of bio-quality and nutrition indexes could infer the resistance to CS.
