Abstract:Bioassay were conducted to study the synergism, immediate functioning, anti-feeding effect and dual effect of EpNPV-Bt, the mixture of Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand nuclear polyhedrosis virus (EpNPV) and Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt). Under the temperature ranged from 16℃ to 28℃, the results showed that the EpNPV-Bt against the larvae of Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand possessed joint action at the whole death period, the dynamic of synergic toxicity was mostly distributed between -20% to 20%. Hereinto at the death initial period of the 16℃, 19℃ and 28℃ treatments, the dynamic of synergic toxicity was more than 20% which showed synergism. At the death middle period of 22℃ treatment, the dynamic of synergic toxicity was less than -20%, which showed antagonism. Compared with EpNPV, the immediate functioning and anti-feeding effect of the EpNPV-Bt was evident. The LT30 (30% lethal time) of the EpNPV-Bt against the larvae of Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand was lessened from 9.4d to 5.6d, and the food intake was decreased to 66.2%. It also showed a good dual effect of the EpNPV-Bt to control the larvae of Iragoides fasciata (Moore), Jankowskia athleta Oberthur and Ectropis oblique Warren which are the main tea pests. The mortality of the EpNPV-Bt against the larvae of Iragoides fasciata (Moore) was up to 85.8%.
