(2)Themucilagelayerandchambersofseedcanstoremuchair,whichfacilitatedseedfloatationonmoving waterandfurtherdispersal.Meanwhile,seedcoatornamentationandmucilagecanenhanceadhesiveability ofseedtothesoilandotherplants,therebyescapingfromseedsbarenesstomaintainseedvigor.Theseed coatornamentationandmucilagealsocanabsorbalargeamountofwaterquicklyandholdwater,thus maintainingsoilseedbankintheharshdesert.(3)Themucilaginousseedcoatcandelaygerminationbut promoteseedlingsgrowthinanunpredictableenvironment,whichincreasingtheabilityofplantestablish ment. 犓犲狔狑狅狉犱狊:seedcoatmucilage;seedsdispersal;seedsgermination 1^#³21´µ345,6¯ß7
