Abstract:The objective of this study was to clarify the character of resistance of Xikemai 2028 to wheat stripe rust. With the physiological races of wheat stripe rust in CYR31, CYR32, CYR33, Su11-4 and mixed races, in 2011-2013 years, at the seedling stage of Xikemai 2028 were artificially inoculated and naturally induced during adult stage, for disease resistance identification. Using CYR31, CYR32, CYR33 , Su11-4 at Xikemai2028 and Mingxian169 and its hybrid offspring of adult plant stage inoculation, as resistance genetic analysis of the wheat in 2014 year. Results showed that Xikemai 2028 was immune to wheat stripe rust. There are three dominant genes controlling its resistance to CYR31, two dominant genes and one recessive gene to CYR32, one dominant gene to CYR33, one dominant gene and one recessive gene to Su11-4. Xikemai 2028 was one of the important germplasm resources, with the higher level of resistance to stripe rust and the better stability of its heredity. Molecular markers and mapping works will make a great foundation for the application of Xikemai 2028 as a stripe rust resource in the future.
