Abstract:Two dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) and MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometry were used to analyze the proteomic changes of yellow-leaf diseased Populus in Henan Province. A total of 98 (61 up-regulated, 37 down-regulated), 90 (42 up-regulated, 48 down-regulated) and 41 (19 up-regulated, 22 down-regulated) differentially expressed protein spots were identified from leaf, phloem, root, respectively. 61 of these spots, with differential expression of 1.5 times or above, were further determined by MALDI-TOF-TOF and 58 sequences were finally obtained. These determined spots were classified into 26 proteins. These proteins were related to photosynthesis and resistance. The results, especially identification of ferritin, were of value for further investigation of the pathogenesis of yellow-leaf disease in Populus.
