theresearchobject,theeffectsoffencingonsoilcarbon(C)densityandplantcarbondensitywerestudied
throughthemethodofindooranalysisandinvestigationinthefield.Resultsshowedthatsoilcarbondensi
tyandrootcarbondensitydecreasedwiththeincreaseofsoildepthinbothfencingandgrazingareas.The
carbonstorageoffencingareawashigherthanthatofgrazingarea,andwasmainlystoredatthesoilsur
facelayer(0~10cm).Thecarbondensityofplantinthefencingareawassignificantlyhigherthanthatat
thegrazingdistrict(犘<0.01)ineverymonth.Theseresultsindicatedthatfencingcouldeffectivelyen
hancethefunctionsofcarbonsequestrationinmeadowgrassland.
