Abstract:Eight compounds were isolated from the rhizomes of Polygonatum odoratum.Five compounds were isolated from the Polygonatum genus for the first time and their structures were identified as 9,19-cycloart-25-en-3β,24(R/S)-diol(1),α-glycerol palmitate(2),methyl palmitate(3),octacosanoic acid(4),(Z)-6-nonadecenoic acid(5).The antisepsis activity of compound 1 was determined for the first time.Compound 1 had a strong inhibition effect on the growth of Colletotrichum lagenarium with an inhibition rate 100% at a concentration of 10 μg/mL.Its inhibition effect corresponded to erythromycin against Bacterium prodigious growth at a concentration of 100 μg/mL.
